In Friday's league match, the visiting Sonoraville Phoenix basketball team scored a tight 50-46 triumph over the Ringgold Tigers.

In their next game, the Phoenix face the Northwest Whitfield Bruins (Tunnel Hill, GA) in a non-league match, on Monday, December 19. Sonoraville will attempt to advance on its 7-0 season record. The Bruins go into the test with a 7-3 record after their 69-59 league win over Heritage (Ringgold, GA).
