The Brazos Cougars basketball team scored 71 points and held the visiting Thrall Tigers to 50 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Cougars now sport a 10-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hitchcock for a 3A Region III District 24 contest on Tuesday, January 2. Brazos will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 51-42 non-league loss to Caney Creek (Conroe, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-8.

The Tigers (2-10) will now prepare for their contest against Central Texas Christian (Temple, TX). The Lions enter the non-league contest with a 0-5 record.
