Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the John A. Holmes Aces (Edenton, NC) and the host Riverside Knights (Williamston, NC), witnessed John A. Holmes's basketball squad nip Riverside by a margin of 57-56.

The Aces (4-1) will now prepare for their test against Tarboro (Tarboro, NC). The Vikings go into the non-league test with a 3-1 record.

The Knights now own a 5-4 record. They play next when they travel to South Creek for a non-league test on Wednesday, December 20.
