Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Fort Bend Hightower Hurricanes (Missouri City, TX) and the host Fort Bend Travis Tigers (Richmond, TX), saw Fort Bend Hightower's basketball squad hold off Fort Bend Travis by a tally of 46-43.

With the victory, Fort Bend Hightower improves its record to 19-8 on the campaign. The Hurricanes travel to Ridge Point (Missouri City, TX) to confront the Panthers in a 6A Region III District 20 challenge on Friday, January 12. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 19-6. Ridge Point won 59-43 in their recent league challenge against Fort Bend Bush (Richmond, TX)

Next up, the Tigers confront the Fort Bend Kempner Cougars (Sugar Land, TX) in a 6A Region III District 20 challenge, on Friday, January 12. Fort Bend Travis will attempt to improve on its 19-4 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 12-13 record after their 74-48 league win over Fort Bend Clements (Sugar Land, TX).
