North Carolina High School Basketball - Laney can't hold off Scotland

The Scotland Fighting Scots basketball team scored 61 points and restricted the host Laney Buccaneers to 60 in the Fighting Scots non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Fighting Scots now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Marlboro County for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 18. Scotland will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 56-45 non-league win over Dillon (Dillon, SC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-5.

The Buccaneers (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Topsail (Hampstead, NC). The Pirates come into the 3A/4A Mideastern contest with a 3-5 record.
