The Meridian Mustangs basketball team scored 54 points and held the host Axtell Wildcats to 47 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Mustangs now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Diller-Odell for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 29. Meridian will battle a Griffin team coming off a 51-41 non-league loss to Hanover (Hanover, KS). The Griffin record now stands at 4-2.

The Wildcats (6-2) will now prepare for their contest against Kenesaw (Kenesaw, NE). The Blue Devils enter the non-league contest with a 5-1 record.
