Arizona High School Softball - Apache Junction nudges Saguaro

April 20, 2015: Apache Junction, AZ 85220

Apache Junction Prospectors (Apache Junction, AZ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Saguaro Sabercats (Scottsdale, AZ), 9-8 in a league challenge.

The Prospectors now own a 10-13 record. They take the field next when they host Higley for a II Section IV challenge on Wednesday, April 22. Apache Junction will face a Knights squad coming off a 11-1 non-league loss to Poston Butte (San Tan Valley, AZ). The Knights record now stands at 6-13.

With the loss, Saguaro falls to 2-19 on the campaign. The Sabercats host McClintock (Tempe, AZ) to face the Chargers in a II Section IV challenge on Tuesday, April 21. The Chargers enter the challenge with a record of 5-24. McClintock lost 7-0 in their recent league challenge against Queen Creek (Queen Creek, AZ)
