New York High School Basketball - Frewsburg topples Griffith Institute

February 3, 2018: Frewsburg, NY 14738

In Saturday's non-league outing, the Frewsburg Bears (Frewsburg, NY) basketball squad beat the visiting Griffith Institute Griffins (Springville, NY), by a count of 75-62.

The Bears (9-7) will now prepare for their outing against Clymer Central (Clymer, NY). The Pirates go into the Section 6 Chautauqua/Cattaraugus - II West outing with a 7-11 record. In their last outing, Clymer Central defeated Brocton (Brocton, NY), 57-55, in a league outing.

The Griffins now hold a 5-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Iroquois for a non-league match on Tuesday, February 6. Griffith Institute will face a Chiefs team coming off a 58-33 non-league loss to Maryvale (Cheektowaga, NY). The Chiefs record now stands at 5-12.
