Game Summary
Senior pitcher Nathan Thompson picked up his second win on the season in a 6-1 victory over Carpinteria. Nathan pitched 6 strong innings before giving the ball up to the Pirates's closer Zach DeMarcus who shut down the Warriors 1,2,3 in the 7th inning. Nathan gave up only one run while striking out 11 batters. He was very dominant on the mound. Sophomore Thomas Rowan got the Pirate Offense going with a two run home run in the 2nd inning. His first on the year. Rowan also added a single in the 3rd inning. Sophomore center fielder Colby Barick also contributed two hits. Felipe Gonzalez, Jake Pritchard, Lee Jensen and Brock Dickey each had a hit. On defense the Pirates did not commit any errors.
