In Saturday's league match, the host Jackson Falcons basketball team scored a tight 68-63 triumph over the Charleston Tigers.

In their next game, the Falcons confront the Humphreys County Cowboys (Belzoni, MS) in a 3A Region 4 match, on Tuesday, January 13. Jackson will attempt to better on its 12-6 season record. The Cowboys enter the match with a 11-8 record after their 60-55 non-league loss to Shaw (Shaw, MS).
