The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Gateway Panthers (Kissimmee, FL) and the visiting George Jenkins Eagles (Lakeland, FL), observed Gateway's football squad edge George Jenkins by a count of 20-14.

The Panthers now own a 3-2 record. They play next when they travel to Colonial for a non-league contest on Friday, October 9. Gateway will play a Grenadiers squad coming off a 30-16 league loss to University (Orlando, FL). The Grenadiers record now stands at 1-4.

Coming up next, the Eagles play the Lakeland Dreadnaughts (Lakeland, FL) in a non-league contest, on Friday, October 9. George Jenkins will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Dreadnaughts go into the contest with a 3-2 record after their 26-25 league loss to Bartow (Bartow, FL).
