North Carolina High School Basketball - R.J. Reynolds overwhelmed by Atkins
January 15, 2018: Winston-Salem, NC 27101 The Atkins Camels basketball team scored 62 points and restricted the visiting R.J. Reynolds Demons to 26 in the Camels non-league victory on Monday.
The Camels now sport a 12-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Surry for a Western Piedmont 2A contest on Friday, January 19. Atkins will battle a Greyhounds team coming off a 33-17 non-league loss to Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC). The Greyhounds record now stands at 7-10.
The Demons (3-14) will now prepare for their contest against Glenn (Kernersville, NC). The Bobcats come into the Central Piedmont 4A contest with a 12-4 record. In their last contest, Glenn triumphed over Davie (Mocksville, NC), 73-11, in a league contest.
