In Friday's league match, the host Franklin Broncos football squad scored a big 48-12 victory over the Surry County Cougars.

In their next game, the Broncos clash with the Brunswick Bulldogs (Lawrenceville, VA) in a Tri-Rivers match, on Friday, October 5. Franklin will attempt to move on its 4-1 season record. The Bulldogs enter the match with a 2-3 record after their 14-8 league win over Southampton (Courtland, VA).
