Pennsylvania High School Baseball - Laurel defeats Wilmington Area
March 24, 2009: New Wilmington, PA 16142 Laurel Spartans (New Castle, PA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Wilmington Area Greyhounds (New Wilmington, PA), 7-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, Laurel upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Spartans travel to Western Beaver (Industry, PA) to battle the Golden Beavers in a non-league test on Saturday, March 28. The Golden Beavers come into the test with a record of 2-0.
With the defeat, Wilmington Area falls to 0-1 on the season. The Greyhounds travel to Slippery Rock (Slippery Rock, PA) to battle the Rockets in a non-league test on Wednesday, March 25. The Rockets come into the test with a record of 0-0.
