The Academy for Academic Excellence Knights basketball team (Apple Valley, CA), was overwhelmed 64-37 in Wednesday's league battle with the visiting Vasquez Mustangs (Acton, CA)

The Mustangs now possess a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mammoth for a Desert Mountain battle on Saturday, January 7.

The Knights (3-8) will now prepare for their battle against Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy (Victorville, CA). The come into the Cross Valley battle with a 3-3 record. In their last battle, Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy was overwhelmed by Big Bear (Big Bear City, CA), 79-50, in a league battle.
