South Carolina High School Basketball - Heyward Academy overwhelms Cathedral Academy
January 24, 2012: Ridgeland, SC 29936 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Heyward Academy Rebels (Ridgeland, SC) and the visiting Cathedral Academy Generals (North Charleston, SC), saw Heyward Academy's basketball squad trounce Cathedral Academy by a score of 65-11.
With the victory, Heyward Academy improves its record to 16-0 on the campaign. The Rebels travel to Beaufort Academy (Beaufort, SC) to battle the in a SCISA AA Region I challenge on Friday, January 27. The come into the challenge with a record of 6-8. Beaufort Academy lost 52-36 in their recent non-league challenge against Hilton Head Christian Academy (Hilton Head Island, SC)
Next up, the Generals battle the St. Andrew's Saints (Savannah, GA) in a SCISA AA Region I challenge, on Friday, January 27. Cathedral Academy will attempt to improve on its 0-13 season record. The Saints come into the challenge with a 1-11 record after their 44-26 non-league loss to Hilton Head Prep (Hilton Head Island, SC).
