January 25, 2017: Hyden, KY 41749 In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Leslie County Eagles (Hyden, KY) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Kentucky Country Day Bearcats (Louisville, KY), by a count of 70-20.
The Eagles (15-3) will now prepare for their outing against Nicholas County (Carlisle, KY). The Bluejackets go into the non-league outing with a 13-10 record. In their last outing, Nicholas County smashed Green County (Greensburg, KY), 57-54, in a non-league outing.
The Bearcats now hold a 5-14 record. They play next when they host Ballard for a District 28 outing on Friday, January 27. Kentucky Country Day will clash with a Bruins squad coming off a 52-20 non-league win over Seneca (Louisville, KY). The Bruins record now stands at 9-9.
