Virginia High School Basketball - Broadway can't hold off Cave Spring
December 28, 2013: Roanoke, VA 24018 The Cave Spring Knights basketball team scored 64 points and held the visiting Broadway Gobblers to 62 in the Knights non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Knights now sport a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Christiansburg for a 3A Conference 32 bout on Friday, January 3. Cave Spring will play a Blue Demons squad coming off a 86-50 non-league loss to Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA). The Blue Demons record now stands at 1-6.
Next up, the Gobblers play the Waynesboro Little Giants (Waynesboro, VA) in a 3A Conference 29 bout, on Friday, January 3. Broadway will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Little Giants come into the bout with a 4-2 record after their 68-66 non-league win over Governor Thomas Johnson (Frederick, MD).
