In Friday's league match, the host Huron Tigers football squad scored a close 30-27 victory over the Brookings Bobcats.

In their next game, the Tigers clash with the Yankton Bucks/Gazelles (Yankton, SD) in a Eastern South Dakota match, on Friday, September 2. Huron will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Bucks/Gazelles enter the match with a 1-0 record after their 43-20 league win over Riggs (Pierre, SD).
