Newark Valley Cardinals (Newark Valley, NY) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Whitney Point Eagles (Whitney Point, NY), 18-9 in a non-league test.

With the win, Newark Valley upgrades its record to 6-6 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Tioga (Tioga Center, NY) to battle the Tigers in a non-league test on Friday, May 8. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 6-1. Tioga won 14-3 in their recent league test against Candor (Candor, NY)
