The Woodside Wolverines (Newport News, VA) basketball knocked off the visiting Currituck County Knights (Barco, NC), 62-52 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Wolverines (6-2) will now prepare for their test against Phoebus (Hampton, VA). The Phantoms go into the 3A Conference 27 test with a 4-7 record. In their last test, Phoebus went down by Seton (Manassas, VA), 61-48, in a non-league test.

The Knights now own a 6-3 record. They play next when they travel to Tabb for a non-league test on Thursday, December 29. Currituck County will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 54-46 league win over Lafayette (Williamsburg, VA). The Tigers record now stands at 4-3.
