Minnesota High School Basketball - Hopkins trounces Minnetonka
February 8, 2013: Minnetonka, MN 55305 The Hopkins Royals basketball team scored 78 points and held the visiting Minnetonka Skippers to 55 in the Royals league triumph on Friday.
The Royals now sport a 20-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Edina for a Lake contest on Tuesday, February 12. Hopkins will battle a Hornets team coming off a 52-39 league win over Wayzata (Plymouth, MN). The Hornets record now stands at 19-3.
The Skippers (18-4) will now prepare for their contest against Centennial (Circle Pines, MN). The Cougars enter the non-league contest with a 18-4 record. In their last contest, Centennial triumphed over Maple Grove (Maple Grove, MN), 61-55, in a league contest.
