Texas High School Softball - Hebron gets by Marcus
April 19, 2013: Flower Mound, TX 75028 Spectators at Friday's league match between the Hebron Hawks (Carrollton, TX) and the host Marcus Marauders (Flower Mound, TX), witnessed Hebron's softball squad tip Marcus by a count of 1-0.
The Hawks now sport a 17-11 record.
With the loss, Marcus moves to 10-3 on the season.
Game Summary
Pitching and Defense picks up Hebron's offense in 1-0 victory over Marcus Marauders
Hebron held the Marauders without a run while Herndon was in the circle. She pitched a shutout,
allowing no runs on six hits while striking out six. The Hawk defense was once again stellar.
The only run came in the 6th inning as Erinn Hill led off with a single, and moved to third when
Herndon reached first on a blown fielders choice. Amanda Sloper put down a sac bunt that scored
Hill when the throw went to first.
It was a good day at the plate for Hebron's Hill. She went 2-2 and scored the lone run. She
doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the sixth inning.
