March 17, 2011: Lakewood, WA 98498 In Thursday's non-league challenge, the White River Hornets (Buckley, WA) baseball squad triumphed over the host Lakes Lancers (Lakewood, WA), by a margin of 12-4.
With the win, White River betters its record to 4-0 on the season. The Hornets travel to Rogers (Puyallup, WA) to encounter the Rams in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 19. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 0-1.

Game Summary
Facing long time rivals the Lakes Lancers, the Hornet came away with an easy victory at Lakes High School. The Hornets jumped to an early 3-0 lead in the top of 1. Trevor Lubking had a triple to score Tim Kolisch and Cole Johnson had an rbi single on his first of 5 hits on the day. Tanner Williams picked up the first of his 4 rbi. Lakes answered with 4 runs off of Ryan Bird and that would be it for the Lancers. Lubking and Kolish would pick up the pieces pitching the 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th respectively. On the day, the Hornets put up 16 hits with Johnson's 5, Williams had 3, Pugmire had 3 as well. The Hornets move to 4-0 with the victory.
