Summit Academy Kinghts (Herman, PA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the host Riverside Panthers (Ellwood City, PA), 49-44 in a league bout.

With the win, Summit Academy upgrades its record to 11-3 on the season. The Kinghts host Quaker Valley (Leetsdale, PA) to encounter the Quakers in a non-league bout on Friday, February 10. The Quakers go into the bout with a record of 13-2.

Next up, the Panthers encounter the Vincentian Academy (Pittsburgh, PA) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, January 25. Riverside will attempt to move on its 10-6 season record. The enter the game with a 10-3 record after their 62-58 league loss to North Catholic (Pittsburgh, PA).
