Michigan High School Basketball - Vassar can't hold off Bad Axe

The Bad Axe Hatchets basketball team scored 59 points and held the host Vassar Vulcans to 53 in the Hatchets league triumph on Wednesday.

The Hatchets now sport a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ubly for a non-league contest on Friday, January 27. Bad Axe will meet a Bearcats team coming off a 69-22 league win over Mayville (Mayville, MI). The Bearcats record now stands at 9-1.

The Vulcans (3-7) will now prepare for their contest against All Saints Central (Bay City, MI). The Cougars enter the Greater Thumb - West contest with a 1-9 record. In their last contest, All Saints Central was nudged by Unionville-Sebewaing (Sebewaing, MI), 43-30, in a league contest.
