Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Lakeview Sailors (Stoneboro, PA) and the host Strong Vincent Colonels (Erie, PA), saw Lakeview's basketball squad hold off Strong Vincent by a tally of 40-38.

With the victory, Lakeview improves its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Sailors host Hickory (Hermitage, PA) to confront the Hornets in a non-league contest on Monday, December 19. The Hornets come into the contest with a record of 1-2. Hickory won 46-39 in their recent league contest against Grove City (Grove City, PA)

The Colonels (1-2) will now prepare for their contest against Seneca (Erie, PA). The Bobcats come into the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Seneca was nudged by Girard (Girard, PA), 44-36, in a non-league contest.
