The North Wilkes Vikings baseball team (Hays, NC), was overwhelmed 12-1 in Wednesday's league outing with the visiting West Wilkes Blackhawks (Millers Creek, NC)

The Blackhawks now hold a 4-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Alleghany for a 2A/1A Mountain Valley outing on Friday, April 4. West Wilkes will confront a Trojans team coming off a 11-4 league loss to Starmount (Boonville, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 7-1.

Next, the Vikings confront the Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) in a 2A/1A Mountain Valley outing, on Friday, April 4. North Wilkes will attempt to advance on its 4-7 season record. The Huskies go into the outing with a 3-5 record after their 10-4 league loss to East Wilkes (Ronda, NC).
