North Carolina High School Basketball - Cary tops Athens Drive

February 2, 2016: Raleigh, NC 27606

Cary Imps (Cary, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Athens Drive Jaguars (Raleigh, NC), 75-62 in a league bout.

With the victory, Cary upgrades its record to 20-0 on the campaign. The Imps travel to Leesville Road (Raleigh, NC) to play the Pride in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 3. The Pride come into the bout with a record of 12-8. Leesville Road won 80-53 in their recent league bout against Enloe (Raleigh, NC)

Next up, the Jaguars play the Holly Springs Golden Hawks (Holly Springs, NC) in a Southwest Wake 4A bout, on Friday, February 5. Athens Drive will attempt to upgrade on its 7-14 season record. The Golden Hawks come into the bout with a 5-14 record after their 69-49 league loss to Apex (Apex, NC).
