The West Islip Lions (West Islip, NY) football overcame the visiting Northport Tigers (Northport, NY), 28-0 in Saturday's league bout.

In their next game, the Lions face the Half Hollow Hills East Thunderbirds (Dix Hills, NY) in a Section 11 Division II bout, on Saturday, October 6. West Islip will attempt to move on its 4-0 season record. The Thunderbirds enter the bout with a 1-3 record after their 38-15 league loss to Centereach (Centereach, NY).

The Tigers (3-1) will now prepare for their bout against North Babylon (North Babylon, NY). The Bulldogs enter the Section 11 Division II bout with a 2-2 record. In their last bout, North Babylon was toppled by Lindenhurst (Lindenhurst, NY), 34-22, in a league bout.
