October 17, 2014: Cedar Rapids, IA 52404 The Jefferson Hawks football squad scored 49 points and restricted the visiting Waterloo East Trojans to 28 in the Hawks league victory on Friday.
The Hawks now possess a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Linn-Mar for a 4A District 5 battle on Friday, October 24. Jefferson will face a Lions squad coming off a 63-0 league win over Waterloo West/Waterloo Christian (Waterloo, IA). The Lions record now stands at 7-1.
Coming up next, the Trojans face the Cedar Falls Tigers (Cedar Falls, IA) in a 4A District 5 battle, on Friday, October 24. Waterloo East will attempt to advance on its 0-8 season record. The Tigers enter the battle with a 6-2 record after their 21-20 league win over Kennedy (Cedar Rapids, IA).
