In Saturday's league outing, the Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Western Harnett Eagles (Lillington, NC), by a margin of 69-44.

The Vikings (18-3) will now prepare for their outing against Lee County (Sanford, NC). The Yellow Jackets go into the 3A Cape Fear Valley outing with a 6-14 record. In their last outing, Lee County was trounced by Terry Sanford (Fayetteville, NC), 54-31, in a league outing.

The Eagles now own a 2-16 record. They play next when they host Triton for a 3A Two-Rivers outing on Tuesday, February 11. Western Harnett will clash with a Hawks squad coming off a 50-27 league loss to South Johnston (Four Oaks, NC). The Hawks record now stands at 7-13.
