North Carolina High School Basketball - East Wilkes overwhelmed by Ashe County

The Ashe County Huskies basketball team scored 63 points and restricted the host East Wilkes Cardinals to 35 in the Huskies league victory on Friday.

The Huskies now sport a 3-1 record. They play next when they host Watauga for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 15. Ashe County will meet a Pioneers team coming off a 62-60 non-league win over West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC). The Pioneers record now stands at 2-0.

The Cardinals (0-6) will now prepare for their contest against Elkin (Elkin, NC). The Elks come into the 2A/1A Conference 16 contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, Elkin trounced Starmount (Boonville, NC), 57-47, in a league contest.
