December 5, 2008: Hazard, KY 41701 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the North Laurel Jaguars (London, KY) and the host Cordia Lions (Hazard, KY), saw North Laurel's basketball squad knock off Cordia by a score of 58-43.
With the victory, North Laurel improves its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Jaguars travel to Jackson County (McKee, KY) to battle the Generals in a District 49 challenge on Friday, December 12. The Generals come into the challenge with a record of 2-0. Jackson County won 60-52 in their recent non-league challenge against Leslie County (Hyden, KY)
Next up, the Lions battle the Buchanan Crusaders (Pippa Passes, KY) in a District 53 challenge, on Tuesday, December 9. Cordia will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The Crusaders come into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 62-39 non-league loss to Southwestern (Somerset, KY).
