North Carolina High School Basketball - Kestrel Heights overwhelms Franklin Academy
February 2, 2017: Wake Forest, NC 27587 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Kestrel Heights Hawks (Durham, NC) and the host Franklin Academy Patriots (Wake Forest, NC), saw Kestrel Heights's basketball squad wallop Franklin Academy by a tally of 86-47.
With the victory, Kestrel Heights improves its record to 21-0 on the campaign. The Hawks host Research Triangle (Research Triangle Park, NC) to confront the Raptors in a North Central Athletic 1A challenge on Friday, February 3. The Raptors come into the challenge with a record of 11-10. Research Triangle lost 49-43 in their recent league challenge against Raleigh Charter (Raleigh, NC)
Next up, the Patriots confront the Raleigh Charter Phoenix (Raleigh, NC) in a North Central Athletic 1A challenge, on Friday, February 3. Franklin Academy will attempt to improve on its 7-16 season record. The Phoenix come into the challenge with a 12-7 record after their 49-43 league win over Research Triangle (Research Triangle Park, NC).
