The West Charlotte Lions tipped the visiting Mallard Creek Mavericks basketball team by a final score of 44-43 in Friday's league game.

In their next game, the Lions face the North Mecklenburg Vikings (Huntersville, NC) in a 4A Meck game, on Tuesday, January 27. West Charlotte will attempt to move on its 7-11 season record. The Vikings enter the game with a 10-7 record after their 51-41 league win over A.L. Brown (Kannapolis, NC).
