Florida High School Softball - Tampa Catholic bounces Northside Christian
March 26, 2011: St. Petersburg, FL 33709 The Tampa Catholic Crusaders routed the host Northside Christian Mustangs softball squad by a final score of 8-3 in Saturday's non-league battle.
The Crusaders (10-2) will now prepare for their battle against Canterbury (St. Petersburg, FL). The Crusaders go into the non-league battle with a 12-6 record. In their last battle, Canterbury nudged Tarpon Springs (Tarpon Springs, FL), 1-0, in a non-league battle.
The Mustangs now possess a 5-3 record. They play next when they travel to Cape Coral Christian for a non-league battle on Monday, April 4.

TC's bats came to life launching a unified attack against the Lady Mustangs posting 7 of 8 runs on 9 hit in the first 3 innings
Northside did not put a runner on base until the 3rd inning as So. (6) C. Pesce disposed the first 8 batters. 2 walks and a single threaten to bring in the first Mustang run. With bases loaded Pesce anchored down and struck out her 4th batter to stop the Lady Mustang stamped.
The TC surrendered 1 run in the 4th when (9) L. Touzen singled & Stole 2nd, (13) K. Creel singled to advance Touzen to 3rd. TC's Jr. (53) T. Bohanon worked her range making an ESPN moment catch in foul territory to check the runner at 3rd, a ball hit up the middle was stopped throwing out the runner at first which scored the run.
TC's Pesce was relieved in the 6th posting 5 K's / 1 Run / 4 Hits.
