The Marion Patriots basketball team scored 57 points and restricted the visiting Valley View Blazers to 53 in the Patriots league victory on Friday.

The Patriots now sport a 13-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Paragould for a 5A East contest on Tuesday, February 13. Marion will battle a Rams team coming off a 48-31 league loss to Jonesboro (Jonesboro, AR). The Rams record now stands at 9-15.

The Blazers (12-12) will now prepare for their contest against West Memphis (West Memphis, AR). The Blue Devils come into the 6A East contest with a 23-2 record. In their last contest, West Memphis edged Wynne (Wynne, AR), 66-45, in a league contest.
