Arizona High School Basketball - Safford fells Blue Ridge
January 12, 2019: Lakeside, AZ 85929 Safford Bulldogs (Safford, AZ) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Blue Ridge Yellow Jackets (Lakeside, AZ), 57-47 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Safford upgrades its record to 11-3 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Sabino (Tucson, AZ) to clash with the Sabercats in a 3A South bout on Tuesday, January 15. The Sabercats go into the bout with a record of 12-6. Sabino won 43-33 in their recent league bout against Pusch Ridge Christian Academy (Tucson, AZ)
Next up, the Yellow Jackets clash with the Winslow Bulldogs (Winslow, AZ) in a 3A East bout, on Tuesday, January 15. Blue Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 2-10 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 14-2 record after their 61-50 league win over Holbrook (Holbrook, AZ).
