Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Myers Park Mustangs (Charlotte, NC) and the host Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC), saw Myers Park's basketball squad overcome Porter Ridge by a tally of 57-47.

With the victory, Myers Park improves its record to 11-9 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Mallard Creek (Charlotte, NC) to confront the Mavericks in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, February 1. The Mavericks come into the challenge with a record of 15-5. Mallard Creek won 76-69 in their recent league challenge against Zebulon B. Vance (Charlotte, NC)

Next up, the Pirates confront the David W. Butler Bulldogs (Matthews, NC) in a Southwestern 4A challenge, on Friday, February 3. Porter Ridge will attempt to improve on its 8-10 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 22-0 record after their 75-58 league win over Rocky River (Mint Hill, NC).
