The Big Sandy Wildcats football team (Big Sandy, TX), was beaten 28-20 in Thursday's league challenge with the host Union Grove Lions (Gladewater, TX)

The Lions (6-1) will now prepare for their outing against Kerens (Kerens, TX). The Bobcats go into the 2A-1 Region III District 10 outing with a 1-7 record. In their last outing, Kerens went down by Cayuga (Cayuga, TX), 28-14, in a league outing.

With the loss, Big Sandy moves to 6-2 on the season. The Wildcats host Hawkins (Hawkins, TX) to encounter the Hawks in a 2A-1 Region III District 10 outing on Friday, October 28. The Hawks go into the outing with a record of 2-7. Hawkins won 50-6 in their recent league outing against Cross Roads (Malakoff, TX)
