December 10, 2013: Murray, UT 84107 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Kearns Cougars (Kearns, UT) and the host Mount Vernon Patriots (Murray, UT), saw Kearns's basketball squad hold off Mount Vernon by a tally of 49-43.
With the victory, Kearns improves its record to 1-3 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Taylorsville (Taylorsville, UT) to confront the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 13. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 2-3. Taylorsville lost 44-39 in their recent non-league challenge against Northridge (Layton, UT)
Next up, the Patriots confront the Cyprus Pirates (Magna, UT) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 13. Mount Vernon will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Pirates come into the challenge with a 0-4 record after their 54-40 non-league loss to Mountain Crest (Hyrum, UT).
