December 5, 2018: Wendell, NC 27591 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Corinth Holders Pirates (Wendell, NC) and the visiting Southern Nash Firebirds (Bailey, NC), saw Corinth Holders's basketball squad hold off Southern Nash by a tally of 81-79.
With the victory, Corinth Holders improves its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Smithfield-Selma (Smithfield, NC) to confront the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 7. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 2-2. Smithfield-Selma won 69-58 in their recent non-league challenge against Beddingfield (Wilson, NC)
Next up, the Firebirds confront the Nash Central Bulldogs (Rocky Mount, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 7. Southern Nash will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record.
