Ipswich Tigers (Ipswich, MA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Georgetown Royals (Georgetown, MA), 74-20 in a league bout.

With the victory, Ipswich upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Tigers host Masconomet Regional (Topsfield, MA) to play the Chieftains in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 3. The Chieftains come into the bout with a record of 2-1.

Next up, the Royals play the Newburyport Clippers (Newburyport, MA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 25. Georgetown will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record.
