The Cactus Shadows Falcons basketball team (Cave Creek, AZ), was overwhelmed 82-46 in Friday's league battle with the host Shadow Mountain Matadors (Phoenix, AZ)

The Matadors now possess a 13-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Corona del Sol for a non-league battle on Monday, January 18. Shadow Mountain will confront a Aztecs team coming off a 62-53 non-league win over Mountain View (Mesa, AZ). The Aztecs record now stands at 8-7.

The Falcons (10-8) will now prepare for their battle against Paradise Valley (Phoenix, AZ). The Trojans come into the II Section III battle with a 17-2 record. In their last battle, Paradise Valley trounced Notre Dame Prep (Scottsdale, AZ), 65-30, in a league battle.
