In Friday's league outing, the Green Hope Falcons (Cary, NC) basketball squad edged the host Holly Springs Golden Hawks (Holly Springs, NC), by a margin of 54-51.

The Falcons (14-3) will now prepare for their outing against Apex Friendship (Apex, NC). The Patriots go into the Southwest Wake 4A outing with a 0-11 record.

The Golden Hawks now own a 11-3 record. They play next when they travel to Southern for a non-league outing on Monday, January 18. Holly Springs will clash with a Spartans squad coming off a 59-52 league win over Chapel Hill (Chapel Hill, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 13-2.
