Mississippi High School Basketball - Bay Springs tops North Forrest
January 30, 2016: Bay Springs, MS 39422 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Bay Springs Bulldogs (Bay Springs, MS) and the visiting North Forrest Eagles (Hattiesburg, MS), saw Bay Springs's basketball squad knock off North Forrest by a count of 79-64.
With the victory, Bay Springs upgrades its record to 16-5 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Newton (Newton, MS) to play the Tigers in a 2A Region 5 challenge on Tuesday, February 2. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 17-7. Newton won 73-47 in their recent non-league challenge against Philadelphia (Philadelphia, MS)
Next up, the Eagles play the Taylorsville Tartars (Taylorsville, MS) in a 2A Region 8 challenge, on Tuesday, February 2. North Forrest will attempt to advance on its 15-5 season record. The Tartars go into the test with a 5-13 record after their 47-45 league loss to East Marion (Columbia, MS).
