Hand Tigers (Madison, CT) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Cheshire Rams (Cheshire, CT), 51-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Hand upgrades its record to 7-7 on the season. The Tigers travel to Hillhouse (New Haven, CT) to clash with the Academics in a Southern Connecticut - Hammonasset bout on Friday, February 2. The Academics go into the bout with a record of 9-5. Hillhouse won 75-56 in their recent league bout against Lyman Hall (Wallingford, CT)

Next up, the Rams clash with the Fairfield Prep Jesuits (Fairfield, CT) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 1. Cheshire will attempt to upgrade on its 9-6 season record.
