North Carolina High School Basketball - Burns thwarted by East Gaston

The Burns Bulldogs basketball team (Lawndale, NC), was toppled 62-48 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the host East Gaston Warriors (Mt. Holly, NC)

The Warriors now possess a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lake Norman Charter for a Big South 2A/3A battle on Friday, December 16. East Gaston will confront a Knights team coming off a 65-47 league loss to Forestview (Gastonia, NC). The Knights record now stands at 2-4.

The Bulldogs (2-5) will now prepare for their battle against Shelby (Shelby, NC). The Golden Lions come into the South Mountain 2A/3A battle with a 3-0 record. In their last battle, Shelby beat A.C. Reynolds (Asheville, NC), 41-37, in a non-league battle.
