Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Newton Rams (Covington, GA) and the visiting Cherokee Warriors (Canton, GA), witnessed Newton's basketball squad nip Cherokee by a margin of 70-68.

The Rams (27-3) will now prepare for their outing against McEachern (Powder Springs, GA). The Indians go into the non-league outing with a 22-5 record. In their last outing, McEachern got by Norcross (Norcross, GA), 67-62, in a non-league outing.
